La Maisonette is a completely private cottage situated some 80m from the main house and about the same distance to nearby neighbours’ properties. It is totally self contained and self catered with entry down a ramp leading off a small metalled road. If you’re looking for a luxurious private hideaway for a weekend or longer La Maisonette delivers it in style. The cottage was completely refurbished and redecorated with all new furniture and fittings in October 2011. The cottage sits above an award winning garden of nearly an acre and we invite you to walk through it, there is a seating area with your own table, chairs and large sun umbrella in the garden just beneath the cottage which is for you to enjoy. The bedroom features a superior queen bed with all linen supplied. There is a bathroom with a heated towel rail and large soft towels, a shower, toilet, bath robes and a hair dryer, there’s a large walk in wardrobe where you can park your bags and clothes. The kitchen has a double ceramic hob, microwave and fridge with all the pots, pans, cutlery, china and glasses you’ll ever need. Purified drinking water is on tap in the kitchen. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen with a handmade dining table and chairs, the lounge has comfy chairs, a 32 inch LCD TV with Freeview and a DVD player with a small selection of DVDs. There’s an MP3 docking station in the lounge, a good selection of books, cards and board games. From the Juliet balcony off the lounge you look out over the tree tops to several award winning vineyards and out to the Barrier islands. This balcony has an outdoor table and chairs and is the ideal spot for those late afternoon drinks. The other balcony leads off from the bedroom and has similar views. Just a short walk to the right of the cottage entrance is the award winning vineyard and restaurant Casita Miro with Obsidian, another award winner just down Seaview Road to your left, a short walk in the other direction and you’re at The Hay Paddock, award winners again ! The world famous Stonyridge vineyard is only a short drive away along with Te Motu and several other excellent eateries and vineyards. And not forgetting stunning Onetangi Beach with its cafes and bars which is about a 7 minute walk away. |

General Information

Important Notices:
- Driveway is steep and is recommended for 4WD vehicle only
- On street parking is in a narrow gravel road
- Small children? There is an internal timber stairway leading from the living down to the outdoors to access the gardens and off street parking. A stair gate is available - please request at time of booking.
